NIGHT
The daylight, Deals a crushing blow, For it manifests the reality, Of my situation.
But the night, Releases me from terror, My mind drifts, Dreams and fantasies, Become my reality.
Technicolored visions, Of you in my arms, Tenderly exchanging kisses, Walking trough the park, Holding each others hand, Speaking our minds, Working out the problems of life, Enjoying the happiness of love, Pushing our children on a swing, Laughing at their toothless smiles, Running with the dogs, Both friends and protectors, Watching the stars, Making our wishes come true, Toasting our good fortune, To have on another.
Then the Sun starts to shine, And my dreams fade, Once again my reality, Is this 5 by 9 cell, Cursed to be alone.
So here I sit, Waiting, For the night, To dream again!!
